Line Cook
|
The Line Cook is the principle restaurant and room service food preparation and service cook. The Line Cook ensures that all food is consistently and properly prepared in a timely manner, and is of the finest quality.
Duties include:
- Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests
- Prepare and serve restaurant and room service fare per menu specifications
- Maintain high standards in food safety through adherence to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the line and kitchen
- Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies
- Perform any task not outlined above that the associate has the ability to perform
Qualifications:
- High level of food preparation skills including outstanding knife skills
- familiarity with contemporary line cooking techniques, and a demonstrated high competency in the fundamentals of fish, meat, poultry, and sauce cookery required
