The Select Service Sales & Events  Manager is responsible for developing sales opportunities and securing business for group rooms and any catering functions for the Rochester Select Service Hotels. The Sales & Events Manager identifies potential business opportunities, pursues viable leads, books business, and maintains client relationships.

Duties

• Solicit, qualify and book group rooms and catering for assigned hotels.
• Increase overall hotel occupancy by adhering to group ceilings and restrictions on the group calendars.
• Ensure guest satisfaction of both new and existing customers.
• Place business at the hotel that is in the best interest of the customer and EJD.
• Perform a variety of administrative tasks including overseeing the preparation of internal and external correspondence and maintaining accurate records of sales activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel sales operations required.
• Prior hotel sales experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, required.
• Qualified individuals will additionally demonstrate skills in leadership, organization, planning, problem solving, and communication.
• Must be able to work independently or with others.
