The Full Service Sales & Events Manager is responsible for developing sales opportunities and securing business for catering events and group rooms business. The Sales & Events  Manager identifies potential business opportunities, pursues viable leads, books business and maintains client relationships for the 2 Rochester area Full Sernice hotels.

•  Solicit, qualify and book all markets for catering events and group business.
•  Create event information and manage communication to successfully carry out the event.
•  Maximize total event revenue by offering upgrades to guest.
•  Increase overall hotel occupancy by adhering to group ceilings and restrictions on the group calendars.
•  Ensure guest satisfaction of both new and existing customer.
• Act as a liaison between hotel and customer throughout the event sales process.
• Respond to guest request and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy while upholding business goals.
• Facilitate and maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
• Perform a variety of administrative task including the preparation of internal and external correspondence, documenting sales activities and handling any accounting and purchasing functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in event and hotel room sales required.
• Must have basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft office.
• Delphi or similar hotel software preferred.
• Desired are individuals who are friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, assertive, articulate, outgoing, obliging, and compassionate.
• Qualified individuals will additionally demonstrate skills in leadership, organization, planning, problem solving and communication.
• Must present an appropriate public presence in grooming, dress, poise and social etiquette.
• Must be able to work independently or with others.
