The Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales opportunities and securing business for group rooms and any catering functions. The Sales Manager identifies potential business opportunities, pursues viable leads, books business, and maintains client relationships.

Duties include: 

• Solicit, confirm and coordinate room sales for assigned hotels
• Assist in the development of sales and marketing plans, establishing sales goals for all segments
• Monitor hotel’s market position within assigned market(s), recommending changes as necessary Ensure guest satisfaction of both new and existing customers
• Responsible for the training and development of sales staff
• Facilitate and maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence
• Perform any assigned task not outlined above that the associate has the ability to perform

Qualifications:

• Customer service experience required
• Qualified individuals must be friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, assertive, articulate, outgoing, creative, and have a professional, poised appearance.
• Previous hotel sales or operations expeirence preferred
• Prior supervisory/management experience a plus
• Basic computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Office, required
• Qualified individuals will additionally demonstrate skills in leadership, organization, planning, problem solving, and communication.
